The Nana hotel had its hay day during the Vietnam War when soldiers would use its as a base for R&R. Outside, entertainers of the sheets lined the street shoulder to shoulder displaying their wares brilliantly and showily. There was a relieving sense of freedom, a refreshing embrace of the unconventional, a million miles away from an English suburban dinner party. This could never be considered the most 'appropriate' hotel for a lady to stay or play in Bangkok. This was where I wanted to shoot my first Blazon collection.
